FAQs

HOW TO STORE A KEG

The best way to store a keg of beer before tapping it, is to have it in a refrigerator for a consistent cooling.

However, if you do not have the fridge space to store a keg until you are ready to use it.

We recommend a cooler, dark area to store it, like a basement, or garage. Keeping the keg cold and away from light will ensure optimal taste when you are ready to tap it and serve.

HOW TO TAP A KEG

Using a hand pump for a beer keg is a classic method that’s perfect for outdoor events or places where electricity might not be accessible. To learn how to tap a keg with a party pump, follow these simple instructions:

1. Locate the coupler on the keg (protected by a plastic cap). Remove the cap, slide the coupler onto the valve, and twist it until it locks securely in place.

2. Attach the hand pump on top of the coupler, press the tap firmly into the keg, and start pumping. The hand pump operates by pressurizing the keg with air, forcing the beer up and out when the tap is open.

3. Give the keg a few pumps, and that’s it! You’re ready to pour.

HOW TO CHILL A KEG

If you do not have a kegerator, to keep the keg cold while pouring, we recommend using a bucket that is almost as tall as the keg, filled with ice to keep the beer cold during your party.

HOW MUCH BEER IS IN A KEG?

There is roughly 56 cans of beer in a 20L keg.

HOW LONG WILL THE BEER STAY FRESH?

If you are dispensing using CO2, our beer will stay fresh for 90-120 days if kept in the appropriate temperature.

While using a party pump (using air to dispense), we recommend finishing the keg within 12-15 hours of tapping.

DISCLAIMERS

Damaged or missing equipment will be billed at repair or replacement cost.
